2010 UPDATE
Greetings, supporters!
The economy has slowed just about every project that has been put in place. But, as stated earlier we are committed to opening our Museum and our inventory is growing for more and better exhibits.
| We are still strongly considering the location across from the VA Children’s Museum , in Portsmouth which is surrounded by two other museums. The location, parking, and highway access are great.We NOW have the IRS 501(c)(3) status # 74-3231734. |
We have also been busy with new acquisitions. We have acquired the British Parliament building, the Sydney Opera House, prehistoric nature scenes, Miami Vice scenes, a Mario Andretti display, a Lewis Hamilton display and many, many more pieces. This museum is going to be BIG!
We did a regional exhibit at the Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA, and the response was an outstanding 98% positive. This gave us lots of incentive to move forward.
WHAT & WHERE
Welcome to the Genex Showcase Miniature Museum in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Located in the heart of the East Coast Mid-Atlantic region, it you relive the history of bygone years, introduce you to things you
never knew existed, and let you reminisce with some of the famous TV characters you grew up around.
We have put forth great efforts to provide you with an extensive select-ion of many of the great works and events of artists from all corners of
this earth. As you go through this Museum you will be delighted and thrilled with its contents and professional exhibits.
LOGISTICS
The Museum exhibits are divided into eleven (13) display categories: The Environment, Structural Facilities, Monuments, Transportation, Sports, Peoples, The Arts, Space, Worth, Children Gallery and Innovations. We have included information on Hampton Roads for those who are not familiar with this area of the country. Total categories will contain over 100 exhibits with five to twenty five individual displays each.
